On the July 22nd episode of KBS Cool FM‘s ‘Lee Ki Kwang’s Gayo Plaza‘, one listener wrote in, saying, “I put my entire soul into buying a home, and now the price of my home has gone down. It’s sad and funny.” After hearing this, Kikwang expressed, “I hope you cheer up. It’s possible it’s that way because the interest on loans is higher these days. Life continuously goes up and down.”
He continued, “At least you bought a home. I don’t even own a home. It’s something that you own a home. Please gain strength.”
Some netizens are taking issue with Kikwang’s response to the listener, commenting, “That was unpleasant,” “It’s probably that you didn’t buy a home, not that you couldn’t,” “I feel like I’m being deceived,” and “He’s acting like he’s a common person.” Other listeners defended the DJ host, saying, “How is he supposed to comfort them then,” “There’s nothing to get angry over him telling the listener to cheer up,” “There’s nothing much you can say in that situation,” and more.
