Patrick Clancy has claimed that his wife Lindsay had a medical issue, despite the fact that she is suspected of killing their children and making an attempt on suicide. Clancy refused to say what the illness was though. He claimed that while her illness gradually deteriorated, their marriage grew stronger.
All three of Lindsay’s children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan—were strangled earlier this month by the 32-year-old. According to a CBS Boston story, Callan passed away days after being admitted while Cora and Dawson were declared dead after being admitted to the hospital.
Lindsay Clancy is being held on a number of counts, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. There are two murders, three strangulations, and four assaults and battery offenses among them.
In a statement posted on GoFundMe, Patrick Clancy calls the pain and shock of losing his family “excruciating and unyielding,” adding that he had trouble sleeping and had nightmares about the horrible things that had happened.
Everyone is aware that until one has children, it is impossible to fully appreciate how deeply they will love them or how heartbreaking it is to lose them. Callan, Dawson, and Cora fit this description; they are the core of my existence. If I don’t have them, I’m totally lost.
Beautiful Cora was noted as having a contagious laugh and big, brown eyes that sparkled with friendship. Clancy also recalled Dawson as a pleasant baby with a huge smile, and that his eyes were lovely, brown, and dazzling. Finally, Callan was viewed as a cheerful, lively infant who was often grinning.
Clancy noted that Callan, despite his youth, died with great courage. He thought Callan’s bravery had shown him he had to keep on. He is always an inspiration to me. He will always be my little hero.
He disclosed that current depictions of his wife were mostly made by people who had never met her and were unfamiliar with the real Lindsay. My marriage got stronger as her health quickly deteriorated. I felt equally fortunate to have my wife in my life as I was proud to be a father.
He cherished her as a kind wife, mother, and caregiver. He recalled her commenting that while she was thrilled to be a nurse, her commitment to raising their children was far more admirable. He learned from her desire to be a mother and applied those teachings to improve her as a father.
Dr. Phil claimed that Lindsay was compassionate toward everyone, including her patients and her friends and family, as long as they demonstrated their forgiveness for her.
