The original ‘Selema’ record was one of the top songs off Musa Key’s ‘Tayo’ project released in 2021. It featured Tanzanian vocalist, Loui who Musa Keys met on tour in East Africa.
To further capitalize on the status of the song as one of the top Amapiano records from Africa in the last 12 months, Musa Keys has tapped Victony for a befitting remix to the record.
Having teased the feature with an extended snippet on Instagram, the actual song presents itself as a fine blend of two burgeoning Amapiano markets – Southern Africa and Nigeria. The record has Victony’s vocals embellishing ‘Selema’ with the homegrown Nigerian flavour which holds enough promise to extend the shelf life of ‘Selema’.
